About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and motivated Diesel Fitter to join our maintenance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a safety-focused tradesperson who enjoys working in a fast-paced workshop environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality maintenance outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Perform scheduled maintenance, breakdown repairs, and fault diagnosis on heavy mobile and fixed plant to maximise equipment reliability and availability.
Supervise and provide leadership, guidance, and technical support to tradespersons and other maintenance personnel.
Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and in compliance with company procedures, statutory requirements, and relevant regulations, while identifying and managing workplace risks.
Maintain high standards of housekeeping within the workshop and work areas, and complete required maintenance documentation, including worksheets, oil sampling, and daily records.
Actively participate in safety initiatives, including pre-starts, toolbox talks, maintenance meetings, shift handovers, and incident investigations to support a strong safety culture.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

Relevant Heavy Vehicle Mobile Equipment or Diesel Fitter trade qualification.
Experience maintaining underground mining equipment, particularly heavy mobile plant.
Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills, with knowledge of auto electrical systems and the ability to interpret schematics.
Current manual driver's licence and First Aid & CPR qualification.
A strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and working effectively in a team environment.
