THE ROLE:
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating and managing construction projects throughout the project lifecycle. Working closely with clients, builders, engineers, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers, o will oversee project programs, budgets, resources, contracts, quality and risks to ensure projects are delivered in accordance with agreed specifications, timelines and contractual requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
· Direct and coordinate the end-to-end delivery of construction projects, including project planning, programming, budgeting and contract administration.
· Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets and resources to ensure alignment with contractual requirements and project objectives.
· Coordinate design and construction activities, monitoring progress, costs, quality and project risks to achieve agreed delivery targets.
· Manage consultants, subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring work is completed in accordance with project specifications, standards, programs and contracultural requirements.
· Conduct regular project and site coordination meetings, monitor construction progress and resolve design, cost, scheduling and delivery issues.
· Manage project documentation, including drawings, specifications, RFIs, design changes and variations, ensuring current information is communicated to relevant project teams.
· Oversee quality assurance and compliance, including inspections, QA documentation and maintenance of material, testing and project records.
· Manage project procurement, budget forecasting, cost control and risk management, identifying and addressing issues that may affect project outcomes.
· Liaise and negotiate with clients, contractors, consultants, suppliers and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
· Coordinate project changes and implementation requirements, assessing impacts on costs, resources, schedules and contractual obligations.
· Prepare and contribute t tenders, contract bids and project proposals as required.
· Lead project safety requirements, including JSA/SWMS documentation, toolbox meetings and compliance with WHS/OHS legislation and site procedures.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
· A relevant qualification, such as a Bachelor of Construction Management, Construction Project Management or Civil Engineering, or a related discipline, or agree equivalent.
· A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Construction Project Manager or in a comparable construction project management role.
· Demonstrated experience managing construction projects across the project lifecycle, from planning and procurement through to delivery and completion.
· Strong knowledge of construction processes, drawings, specifications, contracts and project documentation.
· Experience managing project programs, budgets, costs, resources, procurement and project risks.
· Proven ability to coordinate and manage consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and multidisciplinary project teams.
· Experience in contract administration, variations, tenders and change management.
· Sound understanding of quality assurance, construction standards, building regulations and WHS/OHS requirements.
· Strong client liaison, negotiation, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
· Excellent planning, organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and project deadlines.
· Proficiency in relevant project scheduling, reporting and document management software.
· You must have unrestricted working rights to work full time in Australia to be eligible for consideration.
