ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a HSE Advisor to become part of our collaborative and supportive safety team. We are looking for a candidate that truly believes in working safely, every day. The role will require you travel between our Sydney based projects.
The HSE Advisor role will be assisting the project team in complying with work health and safety legislation, Ertech systems and client requirements. Their role is to provide timely WHS guidance, support training, conduct incident investigations, ensure corrective actions are completed, and drive continuous WHS improvement.
We welcome applications from experienced WHS professionals, as well as those looking to transition into WHS from a Defence or emergency services background. If you have strong leadership, risk management, incident response and communication skills, we want to hear from you.
Other key responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Lead the delivery of WHS objectives, ensuring effective hazard identification, risk control and compliance with legislation and Ertech standards.
- Manage incidents, injuries, corrective actions, return-to-work programs and workers compensation processes.
- Monitor and report WHS performance, including lag and lead indicators, and drive continuous improvement.
- Build collaborative relationships with clients and stakeholders to understand needs and deliver improved HSE outcomes.
- Identify and resolve complex issues, develop practical solutions and escalate matters where required.
- Demonstrate safety leadership by fostering an environment where we care for each other
- Believe in a workplace that is inclusive and a collaborative working environment
- Ability to coach and mentor others in WHS expectations.
To be successful, you will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
- Minimum of 3 years WHS experience, or transferable experience in Defence, emergency services or a similar operational environment.
- Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, Excel etc.
- Cert 4 or higher qualifications in OHS, WHS, Environmental Management, or a related field (desirable)
- Must hold or be willing to obtain a White Card
- Must be able to obtain a National Police Clearence
- MUST hold valid Australian Working Rights
