What does the job look like?

The Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of a transport operation within the Customer & Healthcare Group. This role provides the opportunity to lead a team of transport professionals, drive operational performance, maintain strong customer relationships, and deliver continuous improvement initiatives across safety, service and profitability outcomes. This role will be a permanent position based in Willawong. Key areas:

Lead safe and compliant transport operations in line with company, customer and regulatory requirements.
Manage site risk, incident reporting and workplace compliance activities.
Deliver operational performance against agreed safety, service and financial targets.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives that support business performance and profitability.
Build strong customer relationships and respond to operational challenges and service requirements.
Support team development, workforce leadership and industrial relations compliance.

Are you the one?

You are an experienced transport or logistics leader with a strong operational mindset and a passion for delivering safe, efficient and customer-focused outcomes. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy leading frontline teams and have a proven ability to drive performance and continuous improvement. You can demonstrate:

Experience leading transport, logistics or supply chain operations.
Direct staff supervision experience, including leading drivers, allocators or operational teams.
Strong customer service and stakeholder management experience.
Advanced Excel capability and exposure to transport systems, with DFN experience highly regarded.
Experience reporting operational performance and KPIs to senior leaders and customers.
Knowledge of transport, warehousing or retail supply chain environments, including exposure to major retail customers.
