About the Opportunity
For over 20 years, Uniting Kids Care Early Learning Springwood has supported families in our community with education and childcare, including a preschool program. We are open long hours for children from two to five years. Conveniently located near leafy Buttenshaw Park and in the spacious grounds of the Springwood Uniting Church, our service offers warm and welcoming indoor learning spaces and stimulating outdoor environments that are designed to inspire and engage.
We are seeking a Certificate III qualified Educator to join the team as a permanent full time Educator and support the team.
As a Certificate III Qualified Educator, you’ll provide quality education and care to children to help support and facilitate their learning outcomes in accordance with the National Quality Standards and learning framework!
Your work may include:
- Developing positive relationships that support children, their families and community.
- Facilitating play-based learning environments that are responsive to children’s interests, strengths and abilities.
- Documenting children’s learning through observations and assessments against learning outcomes.
- Supporting the planning and implementation of engaging programs and curriculum experiences for children.
- Supporting children with diverse learning and developmental needs within an inclusive environment.
- Working collaboratively within a highly experienced team and contributing positively to the preschool culture.
- Must have completed a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education, with previous on-the-job experience preferred.
- 2 years’ experience working in Early Childhood Education.
- Experience with planning and programming for children is required.
- Sound knowledge of the NQS, EYLF and Child Safe Standards.
- Must have current First Aid and Child Protection qualifications.
- Be passionate about working with preschool aged children.
- A work history that demonstrates programming, writing learning stories and supporting the planning of a successful curriculum using the Early Years Learning Framework.
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, families and community members.
- Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work within a highly experienced team and continue learning and developing professionally.
