Campbelltown Presbyterian Community Childcare has been functioning in the local community for over the past 40 years, we apart of the Presbyterian Services delivering a Christian Early Childhood Education to families within the local and surrounding community.
We are a non for profit based childcare centre catering for children from 6 weeks-12 years, with our LDC licensed for 50 children and our OSHC licensed for 60.
We are a play based learning long day care that is committed in providing children with Christian Values, engaging activities to extend their skills and prepare them for life's next step. We value the uniqueness each child brings to the service and believe in creating environments based around children's interests, needs, stage and development where children can learn and grow at their own pace.
The Role
We are currently seeking an experienced and qualified early childhood teacher who holds a current ACEQUA approved bachelor of education birth-5, on a temporary contract till November 2027, with the possibility of an extension and ongoing employmen.
We are seeking someone who is looking for a part time role within a long standing team of staff to lead our school readiness program over the next 14 months. This role is highly dynamic and creative role, giving the right candidate the opportunity to deliver a truly individualised learning experiences to children aged 6 week - 5 years.
This is a part time role with shifts on a Thursday and Friday with the possibility of Wednesday early next year. The shift will be between 7:30am - 5:30pm, and flexibility between these hours is a must for the successful applicant.
Essential criteria to be successful in the position:
- Holds an ACECQA approved bachelors qualification in early childhood education and care birth - 5 years
- Current Working with Children Check
- Child safety standard training in accordance with the new department of education Geecko requirements
- First Aid Certificate
- Child protection training
- Excellent understanding and working knowledge of the National Quality Framework, which includes: National Regulations, National Quality Standards (NQS), and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent observation skills and documentation skills
- Experience in transition to school statements
- Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively in a team environment
- Strong understanding of the importance of family communications
- Well versed with Early childhood learning materials, the curriculum areas, and progression
- Ability to Program complete learning cycles for children
