We're seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead quality assurance, surveillance and compliance across the delivery of this landmark program. Reporting to the Executive Director M3R Program, you will play a critical role in ensuring construction works are delivered in accordance with contractual, technical and regulatory requirements, while supporting safe, efficient and pragmatic project outcomes.

Key responsibilities:
As the lead for project quality and systems management, you will oversee quality governance across the program, manage a small team of Quality Surveillance Officers, and act as the primary interface with contractor quality teams.
You'll provide independent oversight of construction quality while working closely with delivery, commercial and technical stakeholders to manage issues, support governance processes and ensure project compliance requirements are met.

Lead quality management, assurance and surveillance activities across the M3R Program.

Review and assess contractor Quality Plans, management systems and supporting documentation for approval.

Oversee quality surveillance activities, inspections, hold points and associated verification processes.

Manage the project's Non-Conformance Report (NCR) process and drive timely issue resolution.

Monitor and report on quality performance, work lot status, completion data and key compliance metrics.

Partner with contractor quality teams to ensure effective quality outcomes across the project.

Support project audits, governance requirements and risk management activities.

Provide quality advice and guidance to delivery and commercial teams to proactively identify and manage risks.

Maintain systems and processes that support Melbourne Airport's internal quality and compliance requirements.
The successful candidate will have:

Demonstrated experience in a Quality Manager or senior quality leadership role on major infrastructure projects.

Strong knowledge of quality management systems, auditing, surveillance and compliance frameworks.

Experience working within complex design and construction environments.

Proven leadership capability, including managing and developing team members.

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

The ability to analyse issues, influence outcomes and drive continuous improvement

Experience in aviation, earthworks, pavement construction or related infrastructure projects will be highly regarded.
