Hourly Rate: $39.25 p/hr - $53.56 p/hr plus 25% casual loading RNM1| Multiple Casual Vacancies with the potential for ongoing or term appointment.

Exciting Casual Opportunity: Registered Nurse Scrub Scout | Join Our Premier Surgical Team

Join SA Health as a Registered Nurse Scrub Scout at Noarlunga Hospital and experience the thrill of working in our operating theatres. This flexible casual position offers you the chance to develop specialist perioperative skills while supporting life-changing surgical procedures across diverse specialties. Be part of South Australia's largest health network where your nursing expertise makes a real difference in patients' lives every day.

About the role:

Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, some of your duties for the role will include:

Contribute to procedures for effectively dealing with people exhibiting challenging behaviours
Provide, with increasing capacity over time, support and guidance to newer or less experienced staff, Enrolled Nurses, student nurses and other workers providing basic nursing care
Working with children, youth, women and their families where there are multiple complexities and diverse cultural backgrounds
Provide health promotion and education, to patients/clients or groups and carers to improve the health outcomes of individual
Recognising and responding to clinical deterioration or other incidents and escalating appropriately

About you:

Demonstrated competence in Perioperative scrub/scout nursing practice in accordance with the relevant standards
Effective communication skills including, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills
Ability to be, creative, innovative and flexible when approaching issues within a healthcare setting
Demonstrated commitment to providing consumer/client and family centred care
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
