Full Job Description

$100 - $115k + super

We've filled one position, and due to continued growth, we're excited to be adding a second Financial Accountant to our Finance team. We're looking for someone with experience in FMCG or manufacturing, or an auditor who has partnered with FMCG/manufacturing clients, to bring their commercial insight to the role.

This is a hands-on role, you’ll work closely with teams across the business to understand the underlying operational drivers, investigate issues and help shape the accuracy and quality of the financial results. You’ll be comfortable diving into the detail, asking thoughtful questions and constructively challenging the business where information, processes or outcomes do not align.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, analysis and accounting compliance across the Vitality Brands group. You'll take ownership of core accounting activities including inventory accounting, month-end processes and balance sheet integrity, while also contributing to process improvements that help drive efficiency across the Finance team.

This is a full-time role based in Richmond with hybrid flexibility.

What some of your day-to-day responsibilities will look like

Conduct month end processing including general journal creation & entry and reporting
Perform monthly reconciliations of general ledger, bank, and intercompany accounts
Support forecasting and annual budgeting processes
Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register
Support audit requirements through timely and accurate data collation
Prepare financial insights and reporting that support decision making across the group

About You

You'll have 4-5 years' experience in a similar accounting role within FMCG, as well as:

CA/CPA qualified or currently working towards completion
Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting and Aus Tax Laws
Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
High attention to detail with an agile mindset
Proactive approach to identifying process improvement opportunities
Experience using Microsoft Navision or comparable ERP system
