About the Role:
As the Housekeeping Office Coordinator, you will be the administrative hub of the department, providing vital support to the Housekeeping leadership team and ensuring the efficient day-to-day operation of the department. You will play a key role in coordinating communication, managing departmental administration, supporting payroll and rostering activities, maintaining records, and assisting with operational reporting.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced luxury environment, enjoys working collaboratively across departments, and takes pride in delivering exceptional organisational support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate proficiency in Opera PMS and Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to navigate systems accurately and efficiently.
- Coordinate daily administrative functions to support the smooth operation of the Housekeeping department.
- Maintain accurate records, departmental reports, spreadsheets, and operational documentation.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting and processing of room damages, minibar charges, lost property, and other housekeeping-related transactions.
- Act as a key communication hub between Housekeeping, Front Office, Engineering, and other hotel departments.
- Support the Housekeeping leadership team with scheduling, reporting, guest requests, and departmental administration.
- Build positive and professional relationships with team members across all levels of the hotel.
- Proactively identify challenges and implement effective solutions to support operational efficiency.
- Successfully manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Support the team in achieving productivity goals and operational standards.
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in response to changing business needs.
- Remain composed, professional, and solution-focused in a dynamic luxury hospitality environment.
- Bring a positive attitude, strong sense of initiative, and genuine passion for supporting others.
- Exhibit patience, empathy, and professionalism when assisting both associates and guests.
About You:
- Previous administrative or coordinator experience, preferably within hotels, hospitality, or a fast-paced operational environment
- Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Professional presentation and a positive, service-oriented approach
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the hotel
