Position: Secondary Teachers, Catherine McAuley College
Start date: January 2027
Employment Status: Full-Time continuing preferred; part time will be considered
Salary: $86,600 - $147,048 (pending experience - includes Highly Accomplished (HAT) and Lead Teacher (LT) salary scale)

What we are looking for:

Applications are invited from qualified and enthusiastic educators to join the teaching staff of Catherine McAuley College. These are full-time continuing positions to commence January 2027. Applicants interested in part time opportunities are also encouraged to apply.

We welcome applications from registered teachers who can teach in any or a combination of subjects as we move into for our final stage of growth in 2027. This is your opportunity to join our dedicated team as we embark on the exciting final stage of expansion to a full Year 7 - 12 College. By joining us in 2027, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the identity and future of our school.

The role of a teacher is to provide quality education and care for secondary school students at Catherine McAuley College. The ideal candidate understands Catholic Education’s mission, can design differentiated teaching strategies, uses data to guide improvement and collaborates effectively with colleagues, parents and the community.

Catherine McAuley College opened in 2022 to meet the growing demand for high-quality Catholic secondary education in the Mackay region. Commencing with its inaugural cohort of Year 7 students, the College has been strategically growing one year level at a time and will complete its full Years 7-12 profile by 2027.

Built on the former site of the historic Mackay Sugar Research Institute, Catherine McAuley College offers first class facilities to ensure the delivery of quality teaching and learning practices.
