Tax Client Manager

Looking to build your career in Australian taxation?

Baron Tax & Accounting is expanding its multilingual client network and is seeking an experienced and motivated Tax Client Relationship & Business Development Contractor to join our growing team.

This is a flexible, commission-based independent contractor opportunity for individuals with previous experience in an Australian tax or accounting practice who are looking to further develop their practical skills, gain exposure to real client work, and build a long-term career in public practice.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients.
Introduce individual tax clients to Baron Tax & Accounting.
Assist clients with collecting and preparing the required documentation.
Submit client information to our office for processing.
Ensure client information is handled confidentially and in accordance with privacy requirements.
Support the growth of Baron Tax & Accounting within multicultural communities.

Please note: All tax advice, tax return preparation, review and lodgement will be completed exclusively by our Registered Tax Agents.

What We Offer

Attractive commission of 30% or more of the total professional fee for successfully referred and completed client engagements.
Flexible working arrangements with no minimum working hours.
No regular office attendance required.
Optional access to our professional meeting rooms in Rochedale South for client appointments.
Ongoing mentoring, training and support from experienced Registered Tax Agents.
Company-supported mobile phone plan (subject to agreement).
Financial support for approved social media advertising and marketing activities.
We are currently prioritising the expansion of our Chinese and Indian client markets, providing excellent opportunities for contractors with strong networks within these communities.
Opportunity to progress to a part-time or full-time position for the right candidate.

Requirements

Previous experience in an Australian tax or accounting practice is highly regarded.
Experience assisting with Australian individual tax return clients, document collection or client onboarding is preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Self-motivated, organised and able to work independently.
ABN, or willingness to obtain an ABN.
Fluent English is essential.
Additional language skills are highly regarded, particularly Chinese (Mandarin), Hindi, Punjabi, Vietnamese and other community languages.
A genuine interest in supporting clients from multicultural communities.
