The opportunity & how you will make an impact.
Shaping tomorrow's cities and communities begins with how people and goods move. At Urbis, our transport planning team provides strategic, end-to-end advice to government and private sector clients, helping them understand and respond to the full transport and mobility context of their projects.
Our transport planners are among the most experienced in the country, supporting projects from early visioning and network planning through to approvals and delivery. As a Senior Consultant, no two days are the same. You'll make an impact by:
- Providing a broad range of transport planning services including advice relating to land use/transport integration, approval processes and management
- Applying transport planning principles and demand analysis to provide clear advice on land use and transport integration, network design across active, public, freight and private modes, due diligence assessments, master planning, and navigating approval and management processes.
- Assisting with forecasting, project budgeting and financial management
- Contributing to the delivery of strategic transport advisory projects and other national initiatives
- Coaching and developing individuals with the team, as appropriate
About you.

We know everyone is different and brings different strengths and passions with them. In addition to yours, we're keen to connect with you if you bring the following experiences and attributes:
- A tertiary qualifications in Transport Planning, Traffic Engineering, Transport Management, Transport Economics, Geography, Urban/Town Planning or a related discipline
- 5 years of relevant experience gained in a consultancy or local/State government environment
- Demonstrated strong technical understanding of transport planning frameworks, controls and processes
- An ability to be proactive and take initiative in order meet project and client demands
- Proven track record of managing projects and mentoring team members
- A collaborative mindset, to bring out the best in yourself and others while bringing new thinking to Urbis and our clients
- Passion for purpose-led work, and driving a positive legacy for our communities, clients and yourself

- Confidence and decisiveness to drive high performance for yourself, others and our clients
