MOTOR MECHANIC (GENERAL)

Full-Time

AUD 82500 per annum

SINCERE MOTORS PTY LTD is a well-established automotive repair and maintenance business located in Croydon, NSW, providing high-quality vehicle servicing, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance solutions to a diverse customer base throughout Sydney's Inner West. The company has been operating since 2000 and is committed to delivering reliable and professional automotive services.

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Motor Mechanic (General) to join our growing workshop team on a full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in motor vehicles using diagnostic equipment and testing procedures.
Perform routine vehicle servicing and maintenance, including oil changes, brake repairs, suspension work, steering repairs, and engine tune-ups.
Inspect, dismantle, repair and reassemble engines, transmissions and other vehicle components.
Conduct road tests and quality checks to ensure vehicles meet manufacturer and roadworthiness standards.
Interpret technical manuals, service bulletins and workshop instructions.
Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation.
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with Australian workplace health and safety requirements.
Work collaboratively with other technicians and workshop staff to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction.
Communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle issues, repair recommendations and maintenance requirements.

Essential Requirements

Certificate IV level or higher qualification in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis, or Automotive Technology.
Minimum one year of recent Australian work experience as a Motor Mechanic.
Demonstrated experience diagnosing and repairing petrol-powered light vehicles.
Ability to use modern automotive diagnostic and testing equipment.
Sound knowledge of vehicle engines, transmissions, suspension, steering and braking systems.
Strong problem-solving and fault-finding abilities.
Good written and verbal English communication skills.
Ability to work effectively within a multicultural team environment and provide professional customer service.
Commitment to workplace safety, quality workmanship and continuous improvement.
Current Australian driver's licence.

Desirable

Experience working with a wide range of vehicle makes and models.
Experience with electronic diagnostic systems and automotive software.
Additional automotive certifications or manufacturer training.
