What you’ll do

Supporting the development, refresh and ongoing maintenance of Alinta Energy’s corporate strategy and Five-Year Plan
Conducting market, customer, competitor and industry analysis to develop insights and strategic recommendations
Assessing acquisition, investment and partnership opportunities through financial modelling, business cases, valuation analysis and due diligence support
Analysing capital allocation priorities, portfolio performance and proposed investments against strategic, risk and value creation criteria
Preparing clear presentations, briefing papers and decision-support materials for Executive, Board, shareholder and governance forums.

Your experience

A tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Economics, Engineering, Finance or a related discipline
Two to five years’ experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, corporate finance, investment banking, commercial advisory or a related analytical role
Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving capability, including financial modelling, business case development and commercial analysis
Experience in market analysis, competitor assessment and strategic research, with energy, utilities, infrastructure or industrial sector experience viewed favourably
Excellent PowerPoint, storylining and stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work within tight timeframes.

Please note this role requires full working rights within Australia.

This role is suited to a commercially minded analyst who enjoys solving complex problems, working across functions and translating detailed analysis into clear recommendations for senior decision-makers.
