About Us
Jomablue is a premium enterprise event technology company, trusted by some of the world's leading organisations to deliver complex, high-stakes events.
With over 25 years in the events industry, that heritage shows in everything we build and every event we deliver. Named 'Best Event Management Platform' at the Event Technology Awards and certified as a 'Great Place to Work', the recognition reflects what we have always believed: that the people in our team matter as much as the experiences we create for our customers.
Our customers range from global tech giants to iconic Australian brands, and they come back to us because of two things: the quality of our technology and solutions, and the quality of the people behind it.
We are a close, passionate team of genuine human beings who love what we do. The kind of team where people laugh hard, hold each other to a high standard, and actually want to come to work!
If you want to do meaningful work, at a company that is growing and continues to prove itself . . . this is your chance.
The Role
The Senior Data Analyst reports to the Head of Finance & Operations and is the engine behind the data that powers our events. Every event we deliver runs on customer data, and it rarely arrives clean. This role owns getting that data into and out of the Jomablue platform accurately, quickly, and with confidence. Then building the automation so it happens without manual effort.
You will spend most of your time hands-on with event data: working with event leads to understand each event, preparing and validating customer datasets, and delivering the exports and reporting our customers rely on. Doing the work is only half the role we expect you to systematically automate it, using scripts, our platform APIs, and AI tools, so that what takes days today takes minutes tomorrow.
As the event data engine matures, the remit widens. You will review how teams across Jomablue use data, improve reporting and information flow, automate manual workflows, and help shape our product by feeding recurring data patterns back to the engineering team. This is a foundational hire on our path to becoming a truly data-led organisation.
Beyond the data itself, this role is an internal champion for how we work smarter, leading by example in adopting and building with AI within clear responsible-use boundaries.
You must be comfortable with autonomy. You will be given problems rather than task lists, and trusted to shape the approach and deliver the solution. This is not a reporting role building the clean data, and engineering away the manual work, is the job.
When and Where
This is a full-time role based in our Ultimo, NSW office.
Our workload follows the event calendar, and occasional on-site or out-of-hours support may be required around major events.
Your Duties
-
Own the event data lifecycle end to end: work with event leads to understand each event, then manage the intake, transformation, import, export, and reporting of customer data.
- Ensure data quality throughout, validating and reconciling data at every stage so issues are caught before they reach customers.
- Automate the manual: progressively replace spreadsheet-driven processes with scripts, reusable routines, and API-driven workflows.
- Improve data visibility across the business through dashboards, reporting, and better information flow between teams.
- Identify and deliver automation and process improvements beyond events, extending into workflows across the wider business.
- Partner with product & engineering, translating recurring data patterns from customer work into platform features, and supporting product testing with realistic datasets.
- Champion AI across Jomablue: work AI-first yourself, help teams adopt AI tools and automations in their workflows, and uphold our responsible-use boundaries, including the protection of customer personal information.
- Evaluate new data and AI tooling and recommend what the business should adopt.
