Position Overview

We are looking for a driven and creative Advertising Specialist to join our team and lead the development of compelling advertising campaigns that connect with target audiences and support broader sales objectives. This role suits a strategic thinker with a strong eye for detail, capable of managing multiple campaigns across various media channels simultaneously. The ideal candidate brings a blend of creative flair and analytical ability, with experience across the full campaign lifecycle from concept through to delivery and performance review.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, plan and implement advertising campaigns aligned with organisational sales and marketing objectives, ensuring consistent brand messaging across all channels
Advise senior executives and clients on the most effective advertising strategies to reach target audiences, build consumer awareness and differentiate products or services in the market
Co-ordinate all elements of campaign production, including artwork, copywriting, media scripting, digital content, video production and media placement, delivering within agreed timelines and budgets
Conduct thorough market research and audience analysis to inform campaign strategy, identify emerging trends and ensure messaging resonates with target demographics
Manage relationships with external agencies, media buyers, production houses and creative suppliers to ensure high-quality outputs and timely delivery
Monitor, track and analyse campaign performance using relevant metrics and reporting tools, providing actionable insights and recommendations for continuous improvement
Prepare and present campaign proposals, creative briefs and performance reports to internal stakeholders and clients with clarity and confidence
Collaborate closely with sales, marketing and product teams to ensure advertising activities are integrated with wider business goals and promotional plans
Oversee the management of advertising budgets, tracking expenditure and optimising spend to maximise return on investment
Ensure all advertising content complies with relevant industry regulations, advertising standards and company brand guidelines
Identify new advertising opportunities across digital, print, outdoor and broadcast media to expand reach and drive campaign effectiveness

Required Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field
Minimum of 3 years' experience in an advertising, marketing or media role, with demonstrated end-to-end campaign management experience
Proven ability to develop and execute multi-channel advertising strategies across digital and traditional media
Strong knowledge of media planning and buying principles, including digital platforms such as Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager and programmatic channels
Excellent copywriting and creative briefing skills, with a keen eye for brand consistency and visual communication
Proficiency in campaign analytics tools and the ability to translate data into clear, strategic recommendations
Highly organised with strong project management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with confidence presenting to clients and senior stakeholders
Collaborative team player with the ability to build effective relationships across internal teams and external partners
Solid understanding of consumer behaviour, market segmentation and audience targeting principles

Preferred Qualifications

Postgraduate qualifications in Marketing, Business or a related discipline
Experience working within an advertising agency environment
Familiarity with design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite or Canva
Certifications in Google Ads, Meta Blueprint or similar digital advertising platforms
Experience managing advertising campaigns within regulated industries
Knowledge of Australian Consumer Law and the AANA Code of Ethics as they apply to advertising practice
