What you’ll do
As our Lead Digital Media Planning & Activation Specialist, you will drive the campaign media planning, investment decisioning and oversee delivery of the campaign across the Woolworths Group. You will bridge the gap between brand strategy and technical execution, ensuring our digital media investments deliver maximum customer and commercial value.
Lead the full lifecycle of digital media campaigns, including comprehensive channel planning, strategic investment decisioning, and large-scale budget management.
Develop robust digital media plans, implementation responses, and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), while providing actionable reporting and insights to optimise against agreed KPIs.
Oversee the hands-on activation and continuous optimisation of digital media campaigns across a variety of platforms, including hybrid digital channels.
Act as the primary contact for internal banners and collaborate across a complex, multi-stakeholder environment (including external agency partners) to align media strategies with broader business objectives.
Leverage your understanding of the AUNZ media landscape and competitive trends to proactively identify new partner opportunities and inform investment decisions.
What you'll bring
You are a driven, organised and proactive digital marketing professional who loves pushing the boundaries of what digital media channels can achieve. You thrive in complex environments and are passionate about delivering both commercial results and excellent customer outcomes.
A minimum of 6+ years of hands-on experience in media planning and investment activation, ideally within a media agency or a large-scale client-direct retail environment.
Proven proficiency with major planning and buying tools such as DV360, The Trade Desk (TTD), Google Ads, or Facebook Ad Manager.
A deep understanding of digital advertising principles (paid social, programmatic, SEO) alongside experience with audience and tag management solutions like Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics.
Strong stakeholder management skills with a demonstrated ability to present strategies, negotiate outcomes, and collaborate effectively across a matrixed organisation.
Commercial acumen, with a strong track record of managing budgets and developing accurate forecasts that meet or exceed objectives.
