The Business Analyst (BA) plays an important role in analysing the customer and industry domain, documents its processes and systems, outlines business requirements, and matches a software business model with an appropriate cost-effective solution.
A strong local government background is a requirement along with excellent communication skills and experience in working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders of the Pathway-based solution. The Pathway Business Analyst needs to be able interpret our customers and industry requirements and can document the agreed business rules and requirements to provide the customer a clear vision of what the software solution will deliver. The BA will be able to define and work through a process that takes the business requirements into a documented format that is able to be interpreted by the Development, Testing, Support and Solution Delivery/Services teams to ensure the software meets the requirements.
The Business Analyst will have the ability to balance the customer driven outcomes with the commercial realities of software development along with the delivery timelines required for successful software projects.
The Business Analyst, often in conjunction with an appointed Project Manager, will be the internal conduit for all parts of the Pathway IBU to interpret all questions from development, testing, support and consulting from the design to the end solution and the business requirement that is being met. The BA will be familiar with Infor security and privacy policies and ensure the proposed solution is compliant with those policies.
In addition to customer requirements the Business Analyst will work directly with the Pathway Product Manager to research industry changes, legislative requirements, technical advancements and Infor-driven software initiatives. The Business Analyst will maintain a significant focus on reviewing Infor’s Enhancement Request System (as it pertains to Pathway) and where appropriate driving adoption of those proposals into the Pathway Roadmap.
The Business Analyst will also play a role in working with the Strategic Management Team in researching the viability of growth opportunities driven by new software capabilities within the Pathway suite or delivered through partner offerings.
