Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Test Automation Engineer with expertise in automation framework development, data testing, and AWS cloud platforms. In this role, you will design and implement scalable automation frameworks, validate complex data pipelines and ETL processes, and ensure high-quality software delivery across cloud-native applications. You will work closely with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders in an Agile environment to drive test automation and continuous quality improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks and automated test scripts.
- Perform functional, integration, non-functional, regression, and data validation testing.
- Validate AWS-based data platforms, ETL processes, and data pipelines to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Execute automated test suites, analyze test results, and manage defects through to resolution.
- Perform SQL-based data validation, reconciliation, and data quality testing.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product owners, and stakeholders to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Support test planning, reporting, traceability, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and promote automation best practices.
- Prepare and maintain test documentation, automation reports, and quality metrics.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in Test Automation Framework Development.
- Proficiency in Python, including PyTest, Pandas, and Boto3.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services, including:
- AWS Glue
- AWS Lake Formation
- AWS Database Migration Service (DMS)
- Amazon S3
- Amazon Redshift
- Amazon MWAA (Managed Workflows for Apache Airflow)
- Strong knowledge of SQL, Data Reconciliation, Data Validation, and Data Quality Testing.
- Experience with GitLab, GitHub, Jira, Confluence, Maven, Grafana, and JMeter/Gatling.
- Experience working in Agile and CI/CD environments.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Cucumber and BDD frameworks.
- Experience testing microservices and containerized applications.
- Knowledge of security testing and secure software delivery practices.
Pay: From $120,000.00 per year
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Sydney NSW
