What’s the opportunity?

We’ve boldly reimagined our future at Mungari. We’re growing and investing in what’s ahead. There’s now an opportunity for an experienced Underground Nippers, who wants to be part of a team that’s building momentum. This role is for a capable operator who takes pride in working safely and efficiently underground and wants to contribute to the success of our Development and Production teams.

Based at our Mungari Operations and reporting to the Underground Shift Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in supporting both Development and Production activities.

As an Nipper, your day-to-day will include:

Supporting underground development and production crews with materials handling and mine services activities
Transporting personnel, tools, equipment and consumables throughout the underground operation
Assisting with vent bag installation, service extensions and general underground support tasks
Maintaining high housekeeping standards across the underground environment
Conducting pre-start inspections and ensuring equipment is operated safely and efficiently
Proactively identifying and managing potential safety hazards
Working collaboratively with operators, charge-up crews and other underground personnel to achieve production targets

Does this sound like you?

Currently located within the goldfields region or willing to relocate. This is a residential Kalgoorlie / Coolgardie position
Min of 6 months previous underground experience with valid RPL's
A valid manual Driver’s Licence
Solid understanding of safe work procedures
Good communication and observation skills
Familiarity with JSA and Take 5 systems
