An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced industry development professional to support multiple Command and Control and Mission Systems programs. Lockheed Martin Australia is the Strategic Partner for the RAAF’s $3 billion program to develop a joint air battle management system that builds on the capabilities offered by Next Generation sensor and command and control systems. Lockheed Martin Australia is also the preferred Combat System Integration Partner for Australia’s future fleet of sovereign Virginia class submarines.

Your responsibilities will include:

As the Australian Industry Capability (AIC) Associate Manager you will support the development and delivery of Australian Industry Capability (AIC) initiatives that maximise Australian industry participation and strengthen sovereign Defence capabilities.

Working across program, engineering, supply chain and commercial teams, you will coordinate AIC activities, manage reporting and deliverables, engage with suppliers and industry partners, and help drive industry development opportunities that contribute to Defence capability outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Support the development and delivery of AIC strategies, plans and contractual obligations
Coordinate AIC reporting, deliverables and industry development activities
Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, industry partners and government stakeholders
Identify opportunities to enhance Australian industry participation, supplier capability and sovereign industrial outcomes
Provide AIC guidance across program, engineering, supply chain and commercial functions
Assess supplier capability, identify risks and support supply chain development initiatives

About you:

Experience in Defence procurement, supply chain, commercial, industry development or project management environments
Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence outcomes across industry, customer and internal teams
Commercially astute with the ability to assess opportunities, risks and business outcomes
Proven ability to coordinate complex activities and deliver results across cross-functional teams
Strong communication, planning and organisational skills
Experience working with suppliers, customers and industry partners to achieve strategic objectives

Desirable

Experience within a Defence Prime, Defence industry or complex capability acquisition and sustainment environment
Knowledge of Australian Industry Capability (AIC), sovereign industrial capability and Defence Industry Policy
Experience in supplier development, industrial participation, procurement, contracting or supply chain management
Strong commercial acumen including business case development, strategic analysis and supplier assessments
Experience developing industry partnerships and supply chains to support new or emerging capabilities
Understanding of Defence technologies, combat systems, air and missile defence, command and control, or mission systems

Special Requirements:
