About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager / Client Director to join our growing commercial team. This is a strategic, client-facing role focused on driving new business, expanding existing client relationships, and developing long-term partnerships across the Australian market.

You'll play a key role in growing our managed services and professional services portfolio, working closely with technical and delivery teams to develop tailored solutions that help clients modernise, secure, and optimise their IT environments.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong network, proven success in consultative technology sales, and experience selling managed services, cloud, infrastructure, networking, or cybersecurity solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Identify, develop, and win new business opportunities across enterprise, commercial, and mid-market organisations.
Build and maintain strong relationships with C-level executives, IT leaders, and key decision-makers.
Drive revenue growth across Managed Services, Professional Services, Cloud, Infrastructure, Networking, and Cybersecurity solutions.
Develop strategic account plans to expand existing customer relationships and increase wallet share.
Lead the full sales lifecycle, from prospecting and discovery through solution design, proposal development, negotiation, and contract close.
Collaborate closely with Pre-Sales, Solution Architects, Delivery, and Technical teams to develop client-centric solutions.
Manage complex sales opportunities and maintain an accurate pipeline using CRM tools.
Represent the business at networking events, industry conferences, and customer engagements.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies to identify new growth opportunities.
Achieve and exceed sales targets while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

About You

7+ years' experience in Business Development, Account Management, Client Management, or Technology Sales.
Demonstrated success selling Managed Services, IT Services, Professional Services, or Consulting solutions.
Strong understanding of Cloud, Infrastructure, Networking, Cybersecurity, and Digital Workplace technologies.
Experience working within an MSP, Systems Integrator, IT Services, or Technology Consulting environment.
Proven ability to develop executive-level relationships and close complex solution sales.
Excellent commercial acumen, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Strong stakeholder management with the ability to influence both technical and business audiences.
Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable Experience

Existing network within the Australian technology market.
Experience selling Microsoft, Cisco, Fortinet, VMware, HPE, Dell Technologies, or similar technology solutions.
Understanding of recurring revenue, managed services, and subscription-based commercial models.
Experience responding to RFPs, tenders, and enterprise procurement processes.
