The Opportunity
Join Transgrid's Delivery Optimisation team as a Delivery Optimisation Business Analyst, where you'll play a key role in shaping how one of Australia's most critical infrastructure organisations uses data, systems and insights to improve operational performance.
This is a role designed to support a growing portfolio of strategic initiatives across our Delivery function. Working closely with operational leaders, workforce planning specialists, reporting experts and frontline teams, you'll uncover opportunities to improve processes, strengthen decision making and deliver meaningful business outcomes.
Far more than a traditional Business Analyst role, this position sits at the intersection of data, business improvement and stakeholder engagement. You'll leverage analytics, reporting and business insight to identify opportunities, influence decisions and help drive operational excellence across the organisation. If you're passionate about turning data into action, solving complex business problems and delivering practical improvements that make a real difference, we'd love to hear from you.
A Day in the Life
No two days will look the same, but you can expect to:
- Analyse complex operational and workforce datasets to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Build, maintain and enhance Power BI dashboards that support operational, strategic and executive decision-making.
- Partner with frontline teams and business stakeholders to understand challenges, gather requirements and translate needs into practical solutions.
- Facilitate workshops and discussions that uncover opportunities to improve systems, processes and ways of working.
- Collaborate with technology teams, system administrators and vendors to support enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Investigate data quality issues, validate assumptions and ensure insights are accurate, balanced and actionable.
- Contribute to workforce planning, resource optimisation and reporting initiatives that improve productivity and business performance.
- Support the adoption of new tools, dashboards and processes through stakeholder engagement, communication and training.
Whether you're presenting insights to leaders, engaging with field-based teams or improving reporting that supports critical operational decisions, your work will have visible and lasting impact across the business.
Why this role matters
