About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Civil Engineer to join our Civil team in Darwin.

This is an opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of civil projects, collaborating with clients and Fyfe's national multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, commercially pragmatic engineering solutions.

You will be responsible for delivering the technical aspects of civil engineering projects, with the opportunity to work across assignments of varying complexity.

Key responsibilities

Produce civil engineering drawings and designs, including stormwater drainage and erosion control.
Design crossings for waterways, pipelines, rail and roads.
Prepare civil construction scopes of work.
Develop concept, feasibility and detailed design documentation and coordinate relevant reviews and approvals.
Ensure engineering designs comply with relevant Australian Standards, guides, codes and industry best practice.
Contribute to project specifications, scopes of work, services reviews and opinions of probable cost.
Determine construction methods, materials and quality standards.
Prepare and interpret specifications, drawings, plans, construction methods and procedures.
Undertake site inspections with clients, contractors, councils and regulatory authorities as required.

About you

Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering.
RPEQ accreditation or a willingness to work towards accreditation is highly desirable.
Strong analytical and technical report writing skills.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex design requirements.
The ability to manage competing project priorities and deliver within agreed timeframes and quality standards.
Proficiency in relevant civil engineering software.

You will also bring strong interpersonal and written communication skills, a commitment to client satisfaction and quality, and the ability to work effectively across multiple projects and competing deadlines.
