Join a high-performing team responsible for operating, supporting and continuously improving Transport's enterprise Azure data and analytics platforms that enable critical reporting, analytics and business insights across the organisation.
You will act as an operational Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for ensuring Azure platform services remain secure, reliable, available and ready to support a growing portfolio of data and analytics solutions.
You will:
Lead the operational management and support of enterprise Azure analytics platforms, including Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Azure Data Lake, Databricks, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric and related Azure services.
Act as the Azure platform SME, providing operational guidance and support to project teams, business stakeholders and platform consumers.
Manage platform onboarding activities, ensuring new solutions comply with operational, security, governance and support requirements.
Monitor platform health, performance, capacity and utilisation, proactively identifying and resolving issues before they impact services.
Lead incident, problem and service request management activities, ensuring timely resolution and effective stakeholder communication.
Implement and maintain Azure operational standards, support processes, monitoring frameworks, automation and best practices.
Manage platform security, access management, compliance and audit activities in collaboration with Cyber Security and Architecture teams.
Support disaster recovery, business continuity and platform resilience initiatives to ensure operational readiness.
Drive platform optimisation initiatives including performance tuning, cost optimisation, automation and operational efficiency improvements.
Collaborate with engineers, architects, vendors and managed service providers to ensure reliable service delivery and continuous improvement of platform capabilities.
Produce operational reporting, service metrics and platform performance insights to support governance and decision-making.

About you
You are passionate about cloud platform operations and enjoy ensuring enterprise services remain secure, available and reliable.
You have strong Azure platform experience and understand how enterprise data and analytics platforms are operated, governed and supported within large organisations.
You are recognised as a trusted operational SME who can manage both day-to-day service delivery and strategic platform improvement initiatives.
You will bring:
Experience supporting and administering Azure-based platforms and services in enterprise environments.
Experience with Azure services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Azure Storage, Azure Data Lake, Azure Monitor, Databricks, Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.
Strong knowledge of incident, problem, change and service management processes.
Experience implementing monitoring, alerting, operational reporting and platform governance controls.
Strong understanding of Azure security, access management, identity management and operational compliance requirements.
Experience supporting business-critical production platforms and coordinating incident response activities.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Experience developing operational procedures, runbooks, support documentation and service standards.
A passion for operational excellence, continuous improvement and customer service.
