Child Care Worker- Lead Educator

Carina Heights Child Care & Development is a privately owned boutique early childhood education and care service in Carina Heights. We are committed to providing exceptional care and education for children while fostering a supportive and rewarding workplace for our team.

About the Role – Lead Educator (Toddler Room)

As the Toddler Room Lead Educator, you will:

Create a warm, nurturing and responsive environment where toddlers feel safe, secure and confident to explore.
Plan and implement engaging, play-based learning experiences that support children's physical, social, emotional, cognitive and language development.
Foster secure attachments and respectful relationships with children and families.
Support children's growing independence, confidence and emerging self-help skills.
Observe, document and extend children's learning in line with the Early Years Learning Framework.
Lead and mentor assistant educators within the room.
Work collaboratively with the leadership team to maintain high-quality practice and continuous improvement.
Maintain a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.

Skills and Experience Required

Applicants must have:

Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or working Towards).
Current Queensland Blue Card.
Current National Police Check.
Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications.
At least 3 years demonstrated experience working with children aged 6weeks to 6 years.
Strong knowledge of child development during the toddler years.
Sound understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standard (NQS).
Excellent communication, leadership and teamwork skills.
A genuine passion for providing high-quality early childhood education and care.
