The Opportunity

As a speech pathologist working in the community, you will be assisting individuals with a range of conditions, requiring support with communication, speech, fluency, AAC and dysphagia, using a holistic and person-centred approach, to develop independence in the ways that matter to the individual. This position works within a multidisciplinary team providing assessment, treatment, and recommendations to support community-based NDIS and private participants.

This position provides an opportunity to work full time or part time, work from home, within the community or for some connection visit your closest hub which is always full of clinicians collaborating, learning, and connecting whilst working towards a common goal.

You will have the choice to work with a specific age group or across the lifespan, in order to target your interest area. Our goal is to support you in your career, to learn and grow while also paving the way for future career opportunities.

Your role as a Speech Pathologist at KEO will include:

Provide high quality, evidence-based speech pathology services in the areas of communication, speech, fluency, AAC and dysphagia, to help clients optimise their independence and quality of life.
Assess community-based participants with a diverse range of disabilities relating to physical, communication, cognitive, or sensory impairment.
Deliver therapy and manage your own caseload of participants whilst being supported by an exceptional clinical excellence team.
Complete comprehensive assessments and produce quality reports for submission to funding bodies such as the NDIS.
Opportunity to complete mealtime assessments and manage swallowing disorders.
Participate in regular and structured 1:1 clinical supervision.
Opportunities to attend internal and external professional development to support clinical knowledge and career progression.
Attend weekly team huddles, discipline specific and multidisciplinary case conferences to share learnings amongst the team.
Work alongside a team of multidisciplinary therapists, drawing on additional skills & knowledge to support participant outcomes.
Attend opportunities for networking, learning and development in the areas of communication, speech, fluency, AAC and dysphagia
Mentor graduates and early career clinicians by sharing your knowledge.
Opportunities to access weekly and clinical support huddles outside of 1:1 supervision to support learning and growth.

Our ideal candidate will have:

Bachelor of Speech Pathology or higher
1-2+ year experience as a Speech Pathologist
Registered SPA
National Police Check
A driver’s license & access to a car
Victorian working with Children’s Check
NDIS Worker Screening Check
A passion for making a difference
Great communication skills
Great organisation & time management skills
The ability to work independently as well as in a team
