Full Job Description

Licensed Electrician – After Installation Client Support

REA Solar is looking for a qualified and experienced Licensed Electrician to join our growing After-Installation Client Support team.

This is not a solar installation role.

The position is focused on customer care, technical support, fault finding, system upgrades and resolving post-installation issues for clients with existing renewable energy systems.

It is ideally suited to an experienced electrician who has reached a stage in their career where they are looking for a more consultative, technical and customer-focused position, while still using their electrical qualifications and practical experience.

You will be someone who:

Can remain calm and methodical when diagnosing faults
Takes ownership of issues and follows them through to resolution
Values quality workmanship, safety and doing the job properly

We provide extensive in-house training across our battery and renewable energy technologies. This is an excellent opportunity to expand your career into advanced battery systems while leveraging your existing electrical experience.

The Role

You will work primarily on residential and commercial sites where advanced renewable energy systems have already been installed.

Your work will include:

Diagnosing and resolving post-installation technical issues
Servicing solar, battery storage and EV charging systems
Completing system upgrades and rectification work
Undertaking general electrical installations, maintenance and fault finding
Communicating technical issues and solutions clearly to customers
Liaising with our internal support, operations and installation teams
Providing practical guidance and trade knowledge to apprentices and other team members
Ensuring all work is completed safely, professionally and to a high standard
Accurately documenting work completed, system issues and recommended next steps

What You Will Need

Essential requirements:

Current Queensland Electrical Licence
Current Australian Driver Licence
Minimum three to five years of electrical experience
Construction White Card
Current Working at Heights Certificate
Current CPR and Low Voltage Rescue certification
Strong electrical fault-finding and problem-solving skills
High standard of customer service and communication
Strong commitment to workplace safety
Professional presentation and conduct
Reliable work ethic and the ability to work independently
Willingness to learn new systems and technologies

Highly Regarded but Not Essential

Solar Accreditation Australia accreditation
Previous CEC accreditation
Experience with solar PV systems
Experience with battery storage systems
Experience with EV chargers
Experience in technical support, service or warranty work
Experience using job management or customer relationship management systems
