We are seeking an experienced Auto Electrician to join our operations team in Brisbane at our Archerfield Head Office and Manufacturing Facility.
About the Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced Auto Electrician to support our growing operations team. The role involves diagnosing, repairing, and installing electrical systems across a range of vehicles and equipment including diesel and gas generators, trucks, trailers, and associated plant and machinery. You will be responsible for fault finding, preventive maintenance, and ensuring all electrical systems are operating to the highest standard.
This is a full-time role (Monday to Friday) with a Rostered Day Off (RDO) every 4 weeks.
This role is based in Archerfield, Queensland.
The annual salary is $75,000–$85,000 per annum (exclusive of superannuation).
In this position you will get to engage with:
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults across vehicles, trucks, trailers, and plant equipment
- Installation and repair of electrical wiring systems and wiring harnesses
- Electrical accessory installation including trailer lights and electronic components
- Reading and interpreting electrical wiring diagrams
- DTC fault code reading, diagnostics, and root cause analysis using scan tools
- Preventive maintenance inspections and comprehensive safety checks
- Accurate and comprehensive service reporting for all tasks completed
- Working as part of a collaborative and experienced service team
As the ideal candidate, you will possess the following key skills:
- A relevant auto electrical trade qualification or equivalent industry experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an Auto Electrician
- Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical malfunctions in automotive and heavy vehicle systems
- Experience with scan tools such as GDS Scanner, OBD tools, MAN CATS II, MAN CATS I, or VOLVO TECHTOOL
- Competent in reading and creating electrical wiring diagrams
- Experience with key programming (Hyundai, Toyota or similar) highly regarded
- Knowledge of Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS) troubleshooting an advantage
- Experience with DPF, AdBlue systems, and A/C (R134a or R1234yf) repairs an advantage
- Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures and DTC fault code diagnostics
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Safety conscious approach to work with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
