Full Job Description

Woodroffe Hotel in Southport is searching for a new "family member" to join our dynamic team! We currently have a rare opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated Receptionist to join us.

A front desk professional is responsible for offering excellent customer service, options, and solutions to meet guest needs. This is a busy department, and the role requires working a rotating roster, including weekends, Public Holidays, and undertaking overnight on-call duties for 1-2 nights a week.

Key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:

Deliver excellent customer service at the front desk, offering options and solutions to guests
Handle elevated customer queries and complaints in a highly professional manner
Work closely with other departments to ensure a seamless sales and operations process
Act as an after-hours on-call contact to assist guests with urgent issues, such as room lockouts (typically 1-2 nights a week, primarily Sundays and Mondays)
Multi-task and work effectively under pressure in a busy environment
Be eager to try new things and acquire new skills

Requirements:

The successful applicant will have:

Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role
Excellent verbal & written communication skills
A positive personality and sense of humour
Ability to promote goodwill by being courteous, friendly, and helpful to guests
Outstanding attention to detail and good knowledge of MS Office applications
Excellent time management skills
Availability to work 7 days a week on a rotating roster (shift work)
Willingness to undertake on-call duties 1-2 nights a week (generally fixed to Sunday and Monday nights)
