Part-time Role

We are seeking energetic and experienced Kitchen Hands for our Aegis Banksia Park Facility.

Available shifts

Week 01

Friday 15:30 - 19:30 / 07:30 - 14:00

Saturday 15:00 - 19:30

Sunday 15:30 - 19:30

Monday 07:30 - 13:30

Week02

Wednesday 15:30 - 19:30

Thursday 07:30 - 14:00

Friday 07:30 - 14:00 / 07:00 - 14:00

Saturday 07:00 - 14:00 / 15:30 -19:30

Sunday 07:00 - 14:00

Monday 07:30 - 13:30 / 07:00 - 14:00

You should ideally be an empathetic person who:

Enjoys working with the elderly.
Can work independently and as part of a team.
Is reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
Has availability and flexibility to work a variety of shifts over weekdays and weekends.
Has good communication skills and interpersonal skills.

Aegis will provide:

Paid orientation program.

A working day will involve:

Preparing and serving resident’s meals according to dietary / care plans in accordance with developed menus.
Maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment in accordance with infection control standards.
Ensuring correct food handling techniques are always observed.

You should possess the following:

At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role (preferably in Healthcare/Aged Care Industry).
Experience in food preparation and cooking for large number of people.
A knowledge of food safety.
Full Australian working rights and able to pass national police clearance.

About the facility

Aegis Banksia Park has been designed to offer a broad range of accommodation and lifestyle options for all residents. Calista is a suburb surrounded by natural bushland. Aegis Banksia Park have used this connection to name each of the areas or wings after native flora. There are Acacia, Boronia, Grevillea, Waratah, Banksia and the recently renovated and extended Rosella and Myrtle. Aegis Banksia Park is an ageing in place facility and both High and Low Care accommodation is available in all areas. Acacia and Waratah offer specialist secure Dementia Care.

Accommodation comprises of single and double rooms with large ensuite bathrooms and air conditioning. The different areas or wings all have lounge and dining areas and access to courtyard areas.
