The opportunity

Reporting to the Mobile Maintenance Supervisor Workshop, this role will provide safe and effective support to trades personnel in the maintenance and repair of the PLS mobile mining fleet. The role focuses on assisting with workshop and field-based activities to ensure maintenance tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and to required standards.

This is a permanent full-time role which operates on an 8/6 7/7 (days & nights) FIFO roster from Perth or DIDO in the Pilbara region.

Key responsibilities

Assist trades personnel (fitters, boilermakers, electricians) with maintenance, repair and servicing of mobile plant equipment.
Clean and prepare parts, components and equipment for maintenance, installation and return freight.
Transport tools, materials and components to and from work areas.
Maintain a high level of housekeeping in the workshop and surrounding work areas.
Operate light and heavy vehicles, forklifts or other workshop equipment where licensed and authorised.

About you

Strong commitment to Safety Culture.
Minimum 2 years post trade mine site exposure and experience in Mobile Mining Equipment maintenance servicing across a variety of MEM equipment (Cat, Epiroc).
Ability to work as a part of a team.
Strong knowledge and experience of Workshop standards, processes and techniques.
Proven strong collaborative and liaison skills and a good understanding of operations and equipment usage.
Forklift, EWP, Working at Heights certificates.
Current and Valid Driver’s License (Minimum HR Class).
