About the role:
Murrumbidgee Local Health District is looking for a Bereavement Support Social Worker / Psychologist to provide compassionate bereavement support to patients, families and carers throughout their palliative care journey. The position sits within the Specialist Palliative Care team.
In this role you will assist with:
Coordinated bereavement support to patients, family and carers associated with a life limiting illness
Consistent provision of information and psycho-education for bereaved patients, family and carers associated with a life limiting illness
Bereaved family members/carers have awareness of the available support services and resources, including the availability of bereavement counselling through MLHD
