Make your mark:

You will join the team at The Orange Door Box Pakenham. This role will work as part of an integrated team to provide specialist services to Adults Using Violence referred to The Orange Door.

As a senior practitioner at the Orange Door you will be the go to for timely consulting, advice or support on matters relating to adults using violence. Your deep knowledge and extensive experience working with adults using violence will be needed to ensure the integrated team are able to appropriately assess high levels of associated risk and act accordingly.

This is primarily a phone-based role or system based role, where your practice skills are applied through conversation, risk assessment, planning and consult. You will work collaboratively as part of an integrated practice approach to respond to family violence and children and family vulnerability concerns through the provision of:

Screening and triage, assessment, crisis responses, service planning, targeted interventions;
Allocation services and coordination of referrals;
Collaborative working with the Hub team to support integrated risk assessment and planning, including participating in case conferences, meetings and the resolution of stakeholder issues.

Location and travel requirements:

This position is to work in Adult Using Family Violence specialisation. At this stage it is based at Pakenham but might be expected to work across South Metro Area of the Orange Door including Cranbourne and Dandenong sites.

The skills you will use day to day:

Experience working with perpetrators of violence, men / fathers.
Leadership, advise and support.
Working through an intersectional lens.
The ability to work with children and families and/or family violence where there are complex needs and risk issues.
Resilience to work with and support clients who have been exposed to trauma.
The ability to identify, assess and prioritise risks and needs of clients in a whole of family approach.
Assessment skills, L17 referrals, Best Interests Case Practice Model and MARAM knowledge would be highly regarded.

A salary starting at $115,339 plus super plus salary packaging (Level 6 SCHADS)
Negotiable through the increments dependent upon experience.
Office location: Pakenham with potential travel to Dandenong and Cranbourne.
Full time, fixed term to December 6th 2027, 9am-5pm hours based at The Orange Door which makes your work/life more predictable.

Mandatory Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degrees, Graduate Certificates, and Master’s Degrees are required to work at The Orange Door. If you hold a Diploma, then you will need to complete further study and complete a higher level of education within the next 10 years.
