Receptionist / Administration Officer (Casual)

City of Liverpool Meals on Wheels is seeking a friendly, reliable and enthusiastic Casual Receptionist / Administration Officer to join our small, dedicated team.
For more than 60 years, we have been providing nutritious meals and essential support to older people, people with disabilities and their carers throughout the Liverpool community. This role is central to the smooth operation of our service, providing exceptional support to our clients, volunteers and staff.
About the Role
As our Casual Receptionist / Administration Officer, you will provide administrative and reception support across the organisation. This is a varied role requiring excellent organisational skills, strong customer service and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy office environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Answering telephone enquiries from clients, families, volunteers and referrers.
- Processing new client referrals and maintaining accurate client records.
- Assisting with the coordination of daily meal delivery runs and volunteer schedules.
- Entering data and preparing reports for the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP).
- Supporting compliance documentation, quality systems and record management.
- General reception, filing and administrative duties.
- Providing administrative support to the Service Manager and broader team as required.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Outstanding communication and customer service skills.
- A warm, friendly and professional manner with the ability to communicate respectfully with older people.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office applications and computer-based client management systems.
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a small team.
- The ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment.
- A commitment to confidentiality, professionalism and accuracy.
Previous experience in administration, reception, aged care, community services or a not-for-profit organisation will be highly regarded.

- Provide evidence of COVID-19 vaccination if required under current organisational policy.

Hours: Various shifts and hours as required by the business. Hours will generally be worked during school hours, Monday to Friday, with occasional shifts available during school holiday periods.
