About the Role
We are in need of a Medical Receptionist to join our growing team. Apart from embodying the values and culture of the Mindsight Clinic, we are looking for a well-presented and motivated medical receptionist with a can-do attitude. Enjoys a busy environment and can multitask. Is able to handle confidential patient information with discretion. The successful applicant will be working under the direction of the practice manager. Prior experience with Xestro practice management platform or similar, is a must.
Medical Receptionist
We are seeking a highly motivated and adaptable Medical Receptionist to join our busy specialist practice. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and takes pride in providing exceptional support to both clinicians and patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver professional and compassionate front-line customer service to patients, clinicians, and external stakeholders.
- Manage appointments, patient enquiries, correspondence, and administrative tasks efficiently and accurately.
- Provide flexible administrative support to clinicians, responding promptly to changing priorities and requests.
- Assist with practice operations and contribute positively to the smooth running of the clinic.
- Maintain accurate records while adhering to privacy, confidentiality, and professional standards.
- Proactively identify issues and implement practical solutions to support the team and patient experience.
About You
- Able to think outside the box and approach challenges with initiative and sound judgement.
- Comfortable working in a busy, high-volume environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexible, adaptable, and willing to assist wherever needed—no task is considered too big or too small.

Essential Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years' experience working in specialist medical rooms or a specialist healthcare practice.
- Proficiency in medical administration and reception duties.
- Strong computer literacy and experience using practice management software.
Desirable
- Previous experience working in mental health, psychiatry, psychology, or allied health specialist settings.
- Experience managing Medicare, Insurance, and specialist billing processes.

The role will be PPT for 3 days a week, with possible coverage for leave. This role is not suitable for students, we are looking for permanent rostering.
