Role Description
The role combines ICT engineering, system administration, and technical support functions to ensure the reliability, and performance of business-critical systems.
Working closely with the ICT Team Lead, the successful candidate will contribute to the implementation of ICT solutions, maintain operational environments, provide technical support, and deliver high-quality services and continuous improvement initiatives.
Core Duties:
- Design, implement and maintain ICT engineering solutions that support operational and business requirements.
- Deliver ICT projects and assigned technical tasks within agreed schedules and budgets.
- Provide Level 2 Help Desk support in accordance with Service Level Agreement (SLA) requirements, including:
- Investigating, troubleshooting and resolving incidents.
- Responding to and fulfilling service requests.
- Escalating issues where required and ensuring effective resolution.
- Monitor, test and deploy security patches to maintain system security and compliance.
- Deploy software builds and releases across development, testing and production environments.
- Maintain and support ICT infrastructure and associated support environments.
- Perform upgrades and maintenance of Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software products.
- Develop, update and maintain accurate ICT documentation, procedures and knowledge articles.
- Liaise with technology vendors and service providers to investigate and resolve technical issues.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with customer and end users.
- Identify opportunities for and contribute to continuous process and service improvement initiatives.
- Occasionally participating in planned after-hours activities when required, including weekends, early mornings or evenings.
About YOU
- Australian citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) security clearance.
- 3-4 years of demonstrated experience in ICT systems administration, engineering or technical support roles.
- Experience in implementing ICT infrastructure and system solutions.
- Proven ability to deliver technical projects and tasks within defined timelines and budgets.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with experience providing Level 2 support in a service management environment.
- Experience with software deployment, system maintenance and release management processes.
- Knowledge of security patch management and system hardening practices.
- Experience supporting and upgrading Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) applications.
- Ability to develop and maintain technical documentation to a high standard.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with technical teams, vendors and end users.
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service and continuous improvement.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
