Downer has been awarded a major Integrated Facilities Management contract with Stockland, delivering services across a national portfolio of commercial offices, retail centres, logistics facilities and land lease communities. We currently have an opportunity for a Handyperson join our workforce and play a key role in supporting the effective and efficient management of properties across Stockland’s national portfolio, located at Willawong Distribution Centre.
Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you'll help deliver high-quality outcomes for our client and our communities.
What You’ll Do
This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:
- Carry out general maintenance and repairs across multi-sites
- Perform routine and preventative and reactive maintenance to ensure safety and presentation
- Respond to maintenance requests promptly and efficiently
- Complete basic trade tasks (e.g. plumbing, carpentry, minor electrical, painting) within scope
Conduct safety checks, identify issues, and ensure compliance with WHS standards

What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience in general maintenance, repairs, or handyperson work
- Construction White Card
- Ability to carry out general repairs across multiple areas (carpentry, plumbing, basic electrical)
- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety (WHS) and hazard identification
- Good time management, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently
- Ability to communicate professionally, manage multiple tasks, and maintain accurate records
- Prepared to undertake necessary pre-employment checks including National Police Check and medical
- Working with Children’s Check – mandatory
- Trade qualifications or certifications (desirable but not essential)
