FIFO for a short flight from Townsville, Rockhampton & Cairns
Camp is 5 mins from pit | Long-term project | Modern fleet

MacKellar is currently recruiting experienced Production Operators to join our permanent team at Carmichael Mine. Operating a modern fleet on a well-established site, you'll become part of a professional crew delivering safe and efficient production outcomes on one of Queensland's major mining projects.

With a genuine 7/7 roster, FIFO from Townsville, Rockhampton and Cairns, and excellent earning potential, this is an opportunity to build a stable, long-term career with one of Australia's leading mining contractors.

About the Role

As a Production Operator, you'll play a key role in delivering daily production targets while operating large-scale mining equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

Your responsibilities will include:

Operating 400t+ hydraulic excavators and large production dozers
Completing pre-start inspections and routine equipment checks
Maintaining high standards of equipment care and housekeeping
Identifying and reporting equipment faults or operational issues
Working closely with Supervisors and fellow operators to achieve production targets
Following all site safety procedures and operational requirements

About You

To be successful, you'll bring:

Minimum 12 months' recent experience operating 400t+ excavators and large production dozers in an open-cut mining environment
Current RII competencies or verified site training transcripts issued within the past five years
Current Standard 11
Current Australian Driver's Licence
A strong commitment to safety and safe operating practices
A positive attitude and the ability to work effectively within a high-performing team
The ability to satisfy all site access and pre-employment requirements
