At Palm Lake Care Deception Bay, we’re seeking a passionate permanent Chef to elevate our dining experience. You’ll blend delicate flavours while meeting strict dietary, nutrition, and hydration needs.

Make Dining a Highlight

Dining is often the social heart of our residents’ day. You’ll:

Manage special diets and fulfil resident wishes
Work closely with the Chef Manager to prepare, present, and serve high-quality meals
Ensure safe, exceptional service in a fast-paced kitchen

This role suits someone who thrives in a dynamic environment.

The Role & Roster

Permanent position
Fixed roster: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday (Penalty rates apply for weekend shifts)

What You Bring

Essential

Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or working towards)
2+ years’ experience as a Chef/Cook
Proven ability to lead a busy kitchen with multiple staff
Strong communication and staff development focus
Knowledge of hygiene practices
Empathy for elderly residents and their families
Positive attitude and teamwork ethos

Desirable

Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
Experience in Australian aged care
