Working at Melbourne Racing Club is like working in a library. It is a place that is filled with a bunch of well experienced and fun chefs.Starting from The executive chef to the dishwasher   are very friendly and are ready to help you in every possible way.

In 2009 I started working there as a student trainee and everyone assisted me to improve my skills.

Its a very demanding and hospitality selective tree environment when it comes to receiving shifts and advancing in permanent role. A lot of hospitality commitment required to become a regular and high expectations of long working hours during carnival race-day periods.

Directed to prepare foods for clients. 
I learned what it was like to work in a kitchen.
The management was pleasant.
The culture in the kitchen environment is friendly and helpful.
This was a change of career path which I found difficult to achieve.
Learning how a kitchen works and interacting with a diverse culture of people.

It's an incredibly busy job, in hospitality, it is definitely worth the time and the hard work. The travel was great, and the staff in the office and HR were great. There are a range of different personalities, but are all willing to support in one way or another.

Professional and reliable place to work. Supportive management (depending in Venue Managers personal attitude). It would be good if senior managers could follow one policy.

Doesnt matter how busy you are there isalways someone their working along side you
If you want to learn hospitality this is the place to be.
It can be very very busy though

I have thoroughly enjoyed my time so far and enjoy working in the horse racing environment and culture.
There is always an opportunity to excel in your area and the atmosphere makes it a fun place to be working.
The extra skills that I have learned are invaluable.

Working here is great! It's fun and enjoyable, especially with nice colleagues. The management were organised always. The hardest part would be having to restock the fridges during a rush at the bar.

MRC is a fun place to work but has a serious commitment to excel and provide outstanding customer service. Management are experienced and have the ability to act quickly to any situation including those out of the norm that presents.

Great team, beautiful customer, close to home and children school. Fits in well for working mums. Can learn on the job.   So many areas - Gaming department, Bistro, Pass, Bar and kitchen.
