What is the best part of working at the company?
Multi events exposure, pay rates higher than other companies. Good support during the employment but once they lost the tender, they ghosted the fulltimers and never kept their promise to offer job even just for casual pool.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Dealing with the clients, long hours during the event. No work life balance.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Good culture. Working with best talents. Close knits with the staffs. New hires of upper management not really helping during the last few months before the end of the tender. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
There’s always something to look forward to. Event planners are absolutely amazing with her team and very organised.

They give your roster a month in advance which I particularly enjoyed because I knew exactly when I was going to work every month.
Depending on how much staff they have your start times would change, but it's in shifts so it's very rare a person would work from open to close (8am to 5:30pm) they normally give you 3-6 hour shifts.
You learn how to do food handling, cash handling, make milkshakes, make coffee, run a bar, do stuff in the kitchen, clean, etc. It's just being in a cafe. 
The management when I was there was great, you can approach your manager with any problem and they would handle it perfectly.
The co-workers when I were there were hilarious and great to be around.
There's no hard part, at all. Well unless you hate doing a lot of chores like wiping windows, mopping floors, etc. But other than that it's very easy.

Little training (or none at all) on how to use company systems and softwares. No guidance from upper management who at some stages don't know what they're doing and blame others for their mistakes and failures. Little team work or none at all. Look like everybody (especially management) is taking care of their own "square" and only try to look nice with the client and the head office. Very rude and unrespectful treatment from some seniors members that think it's a family owned business and therefore do not share helpful or important information.
Long unpaid extra hours especially during July period when a lot of unskilled and inexperienced staff are hired to meet the high demand and are just thrown in without proper training or even proper site induction.

Delaware north is a great company to work for, a day at work involves setting up a suite, setting the table and the private bar, serving guests drinks, cooking food and serving, socialising with guests.

I learnt how to look after guests with top service 

My manager's are all great to work with, always around to help when needed and there positive and happy to tell or teach new things.

Hardest part of my job is dealing with irate guests on occasion who will not listen. 

The best part of the job is meeting new people and socialising with them while making them happy by catering to there needs.

Work at Delaware is very challenging when you see a crowd in thousands. Every work starts with great enthusiasm. motivation from peers and chefs. We have task to achieve and time management is very crucial. Co-works are really amazing and helpful. The most hardest part of job is do running between two stadium and deliver food on time. Normally stack of food could be massive and uneven ramp haulage. This is physically challenging job. The most enjoyable part of job is excellent view of stadium and live matches.

enjoyed the role of managing different sites. as they were venues there was a lot of down time between operational time. it taught me how to keep people motivated in the down times, and to use their time wisely to make the busy times easier. 
efficiency and forward planning was important - and constant innovation was important to keep the offer interesting.  the workplace culture was a little bit to financially driven with little focus given to the operational side, and there may have been some better decisions made by looking ahead.

Multi cultural. Diverse. Good to have different cultures all getting a long with each other.

Ready for the Daily Grind. 
Dealing with the Hospitality Industry is a Challenge on a Big Scale. 
Was dealt with accordingly.

A typical day includes working at the bar and serving customers while also being flexible to swap to other venues if they need extra help. I learned about wines and beers and also food preparation, also with a great management crew to help out with any needs and assistance. All co-workers were great to work with. I never really had any difficulty with the job but would have to say that peak time can be stressful if co-workers are not up to speed. The most enjoyable part of my job was being surrounded by a great team and great venue.

A typical game day at Delaware st starts early in the morning from preparing bars are fully stocked and outlets are tidy and clean ready to go for when the gates open. All three sports code are different in patrons form AFL to Rugby Union and Rugby League.
But all very challenging form dealing with intoxicated patrons that still wants to be served alcohol to a parent that wants to know if we sell gluten free meal.
