I was responsible for opening and closing of the facility and had a continuous shift by myself for 6 hours in the morning, and 3 hours in the afternoon, with a lunch break in between.  Duties included phone calls (both follow-up and cold calls; enquiring about absentee members, and liaising with management. Scripted procedures made life easy because the scripts showed proven results, whether signing up new clients or showing clients how to operate gym equipment. Training was very thorough and regular refresher trainings were offered. Duties also included keeping computer records as well as hard copies, and taking payments and processing banking. Workplace culture was collaborative and fun. The most enjoyable part of the job was making a difference in the lives of women in terms of their wellness, which included weight loss, regular exercise, and community belonging. The hardest part of the job was having to close the doors due to the franchisee no longer wishing to continue the business.

opening up the shop in the morning and doing some morning cleaning, merchandising with stock felt like i had a whole new shop on my hands.

before and after openeing the shop there must be dusting, wiping and vaccuming the whole store in order for it to be presentable and welcoming to our valued customers.

managing more than 2 staff every day was a peice of cake there was the girls that helped me merchandise and change the shop around while the other young ladies attended to the customer this way the shop stayed neat and tidy while providing exceptional service to our customers.

My day is filled with helping women to achieve their health and weight loss goals. I motivate and coach members whilst they are working out, complete assessments for new members, coach members who are doing our weight management plan. I also complete all paperwork associated with running a business. The best part of my job is the satisfaction gained from knowing I am helping women improve their lives and the friendships I have built with these women

Working for Curves is by far the most rewarding job i have ever worked in. Being able to see the results of the women who signed up to the gym as bigger women and walking out at their goal weight made it even more rewarding. Being able to help clients and workout along side them so they wernt doing it alone was super fun! if a Curves opened up near me i would love to go back to working there again!

i loved working at curves because i was changing peoples lives and i did get some amazing training which helped give me the confidence to give the best to the clients. the hardest part of the job was having to push clients for referrals but the amazing part of it was how we helped teach  so many women to live healthier lives.

I have been with this Company for eleven years and find them to be professional in communicating our needs and addressing any concerns.

working for curves Beaconsfield was an enjoyable experience and I learnt a lot the required working alone a lot of the time which was good but also nice to have a team around and made communication an issue at times.

During my time at Curves Gympie I learned and carried out a range of tasks from data entry and filing to equipment maintenance and product assembly. Curves, being a woman's gym I was never working during open hours. The experience overall was fantastic and allowed me to progress in lots of skills.

This was a rewarding workplace because every day was different and I was able to help women achieve their fitness goals every day. This gave me a great deal of experience in different areas of the company.
