Very clicky Upper management who like to not lead by example.
Long days and nights chasing products and substitute ingredients to keep the place running. Doing the Procurement category managers role, no thanks no help or assistance when asked.
Being accused of raising my voice when I never said a thing. Being accused of not completing the work from home application when there wasn't one.
A total circus. Wasted my career path here on a job that was not anything like what was advertised. With 25 years Procurement experience I am left shaking my head after 2yrs and 8 months.

There are a lot of things about this company that seem great - family owned, smaller organisation (at least in Australia) nice people. However what I would seriously warn anyone who is considering working here is about the management in the IT area. There are managers in this space who do not have basic people management skills and have a complete lack of understanding and compassion for people. I watched several members of my time "let go" and walked out of the building because they "were not performing" or "unhappy". In my opinion management was causing the issues and blaming the wrong people. They would benefits from more self reflection. You can't fire someone for being unhappy, c'mon!

What is the best part of working at the company?
The workplace was well kept, the management was so kind and really did look out for everyone, in lots of ways, whether it be personal or work. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Not enough work, although I knew it was seasonal, the working week can sometimes be very minimal that was about it, great company to be involved with,,,,, 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
It’s awesome, people were always happy, no discrimination in anyway, each individual was treated equally, loved it there 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Was mostly good, except for breakdowns,  work was not always the same everyday 
Had lots of variety

A typical day at work can be extremely full on. Cleaning is 70% of the work some days with a high focus on hygiene, and it is also processing vegetables. As an operator you are responsible for your machinery and it can be challenging and rewarding to solve your own problems. The direct management that we interact with every shift are supportive and encouraging, and leave you to do your job.
The people that we work with as a team are an excellent group with different people having different strengths and generally helping each other out. I enjoy the job thoroughly and the physical side of it especially.

Great company to be employed by, we are very well looked after by way of wages, income protection and safety.  The casual component suits my lifestyle, we can be called in at any time or we may be on the roster depending on product availability, in any case being on call 24/7 poses no problem to me. The wages are excellent. I feel my job is secure as I'm a good worker, and there may be chances for advancement in the company. The management of this company are the best, if u do the right thing you'll be looked after. I like that we produce all local produce.

What is the best part of working at the company?
I received good training and the people were friendly

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The workload was quite full and took a lot of time to complete tasks due to  having to wait on other departments.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
A very friendly inclusive environment and culture.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Very busy investigating and finding why stock has been lost, stolen or damaged.  Constantly ongoing.

A lot of peer communication and across different departments which work closely together.

Several projects on the go at any time and constant regular meetings to track progress.

Plenty of opportunities for personal improvement.

Management demanding quality work but give plenty of support.

Co-workers fun to work with.

Hardest part of the job is keeping up with the documentation.

Most enjoyable part was the opportunity to create new products or improve existing ones.  Working with factory staff a real turn-on.

The day starts with the boss gives me task for the day which is completed in timely manner. In the short period of at Simplot I have learned there system and completed forklift license. The management is very friendly and are approachable.
The co workers are friendly and easy to work with. To be honest at this stage I don't find anything hard, I complete every job task. The only concern is job sercurity. The  most enjoyable part of the job is the great hours and work culture.

My previous employer has a great team environment,and strong culture, encouraging a work/ life balance. 
The autonomy day to day was excellent where time face to face with customers was also encouraged.
One on one time with each team member was the cornerstone of each day and coaching each one to achieve key objectives was most satisfying and seeing the growth of each individual most rewarding.

A typical day was not without drama, However, I did gain a lot of training in a wide range of things from Safety in the work place to learning basic computer skills. The hardest part of this job, no doubt was working back shift,loss of sleep, and family life.The most enjoyable part ,was a day without dramas,[no down time ,everthing running smoothly].
