The people there are generally nice, think church goers and school teachers...they are (obviously) all either catholic and/or educators.

Genuinely enjoyed how people go out of their way to help.

This considered, the management run this not for profit organization  like a church. Inefficient but it works to achieve its goals based on priorities around the children's education given they have so much federal funding it's not funny.

So much money is spent on management jaunts locally and overseas. 

I cannot understand how sending 100+ staff over to Mexico for a few weeks helps children's education in Australia.

Do not compare to corporate, given that funding is federal there is no real competition aside from public schools so little incentive to change.

Strategies, frameworks and accreditations are not in place unless it is a legal requirement, so the maturity levels are mostly chaotic. 

Strangely, sackings are common. Someone offended by a random comment will get you dismissed immediately. The culture is very much like walking on egg shells constantly.

Begins with school assembly, prayer and thanksgiving.Then a thought for the day, depending on which school I"m at for the day. 
Learned the location and layout of the new school, who the important teachers were-Principal and Vice Principal.Good briefing for new casual teachers, any ADHD children or special needs in any of the classes. 
Management was very involved and Principal walks around the school, makes students aware of her presence - secure and safe. 
Healthy workplace culture not competitive but encouraging to all and recognising children's contribultion. 
Hardest part is most often I enjoy my day with the children, but no guarantee that the teacher would be invited back to teach. 
Most enjoyable part is when I get to share by action or story something that motivates students, like to tap and praise themselves saying' I'm special and there's no one else like me in this whole world. " Many students open their eyes and realise how much they are appreciated as individuals.

My days are very autonomous. I learn new things on the job due to my own enthusiasm and curiosity to make my job and the jobs around me, more streamlined. 

The culture can be a bit archaic. There are not many straight talkers and everyone has to be very diplomatic. Employees need to know their place in the pecking order and are not encouraged to step outside the box their  job title/description puts them in.

The hardest part of the job is not being able to progress. I like to learn and move forward - which I thought would happen when I started and  as you do in most jobs. Unfortunately, this does not happen for those with my job title. There is nowhere to go. 

I choose to complete courses outside of the workplace just so I can stay in touch with my skill set and the things I do best. 

The most enjoyable part of my job would be the people that I work with closely. They are warm, welcoming, caring and loving. They are the reason why I have stayed here so long.

Overall workmates were great and worked well together. However the executive level staff and head office were manipulative and secretive and showed no real support for the staff in general. They did not take responsibility for their mistakes or actions and instead tended to blame them on the staff below them. Often took the side of parents and students instead of supporting the staff that did all the hard work for them. When asked to support you as a staffer chose not to speak to those who could support your side of the story and lied when personally interviewed themselves just to protect their own shortcomings as supposed leaders. Were protected by head office as staff were told they could not speak to you at all if any mistakes. Overall well being of teachers is a secondary consideration and only token support was given and any reports that were submitted were so highly redacted that you could not read them

Location  is convenient. Staff are friendly. At my job learned to communicate with families facing financial difficulties and helping them with ways to be able to keep their children in school by offering affordable finance and some incentives. 
What I did not like about the management is when I applied for the permanent role for my job I was not offered the job, I was on contract for 3 months extended to 9 months assuming they kept me longer because I was doing a good job and yet they did not offer me the role while other contractors were offered full time job. I felt humiliated in front of  my work colleagues.The only explanation given is that there was a stronger candidate. I don't understand I already have the experience while the new comer will need to be trained.

I enjoy working at CEO however I am only employed for 19 hours per week and now I require to work full time.

A typical day if organising resources for the Education Officers.
Ordering stationery, cleaning and catering supplies.
Booking of conference rooms and outside catering requirements.

Communicating with co-workers.

Management can be helpful and understanding.

My co-workers are very helpful and understanding.

The hardest part of the job is prioritising the work however it is made easier by communicating with the Officers.

The most enjoyable part of my job is the people.

I love working in the education field. I like helping and seeing children smile especially when they achieve the task at hand whether it be literacy or numeracy or other learning areas. Enjoy my fellow peers as I always learn more as I am a casual but majority of the time at only a couple of schools.

Management and office staff have always been very inviting and friendly to me, they make me feel welcome in their school.

i don't think there was any stress to get work done.

very friendly, people are very kind and religious

you can adjust your time , so that was good for balancing work -family life.

My experience working as a teacher for Catholic Education Office schools in the Perth and Western Australian area was a very negative experience. Nepotism was rife. Females were favoured over males at all times. Observed that policy dictates boys being treated very unfairly compared to girls in any given school. Don't work in Catholic schools if male and don't send your kids to their schools.

IT and behaviour management of complex students.

Very well resourced. Culture is positive.
