Full Job Description

Join the HCF Claims team at Parramatta.

About the Role

As an Ancillary Claims Officer, you will assess and process high volume ancillary claims for our members. You will ‎‎be part of a ‎supportive team who strive to deliver UnCommon Care to our members.

This fast paced role has a strong customer service focus. It is essential that accurate information and exceptional service is provided in responding to claims enquiries raised by internal customers, members, and providers. A thorough understanding of the funds policies and procedures are required.

This is a full time, max term contract for 12 months, based in our Parramatta office.

Operational hours are 8:30am to 5pm from Monday to Friday, with hybrid working available.

Key responsibilities will include:

Assess and review all types of ancillary claims
Review and pay claims in accordance with Fund Rules and policies
Maintain claims quality by ensuring processing accuracy targets are achieved and error rates are below unit KPI’s
Process claims or reject in Claims Portal and New Health Systems
Perform claims adjustments and initiate follow up/recovery action as required.

About You

You will have strong customer service skills and previous experience within insurance claims, contact centre or administration roles.
To be successful, you will have:

Intermediate PC skills with accurate data entry skills
Ability to adapt positively to changing work practices and needs
Ability to set own priorities to ensure individual and team targets are achieved and exceeded
Ability to communicate verbally effectively and courteously and in writing to both internal and external customers
Ability to work autonomously and set own priorities to ensure unit objectives are met.
