Costa’s Citrus operations in Riverland, South Australia, are seeking individuals to join our team in the role of Harvest Supervisor for our citrus harvest. We have an immediate start opportunity available at our farms sites in the Riverland, South Australia.
We’re seeking reliable, detail-oriented team members to help us deliver top-quality citrus fruit to domestic and international markets. Perfect for those wanting hands-on experience in a fast-paced, supportive environment and are keen to contribute to one of Australia’s largest citrus operations.
About the Role
As a Harvest Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for:

Provision of clear direction and training to ensure safe and skilled picking.
- Driving a strong safety and performance culture where the health and wellbeing of employees is fundamental to optimising all work activities.

Championing all facets of the ‘Costa Care’ model with an emphasis on Safety and Quality.
- Exercising a level of respectful but authority with employees to ensure compliance with safe work instructions and quality requirements.
- Delivering, or assist to deliver, daily prestart activities, toolboxes, and inductions.

Monitoring safety, quality, productivity, attendance and hygiene of pickers.

Assisting in the setting or review of piece rates for work activities.
- Assisting in the training, instruction, and coordination of other (non-picking) employees, if required.

What We’re Looking For:
Essential skills / experience:
- Punctual, reliable, and able to commit to consistent work during the harvest period
-
Experience supervising, training and mentoring employees or demonstrated natural leadership ability.
- Excellent organisational skills
-
Strong attention to detail and ability to review and maintain accurate work records
- Skilled in communicating with people from culturally diverse and non-English speaking backgrounds to encourage and maintain high levels of productivity, safety compliance and motivation.
- Willingness to work outdoors with excellent attendance and a positive attitude
- Capacity to undertake moderate physical activity, including regular walking, bending, and reaching

Availability to work a regular roster, including weekends
Desirable skills / experience:
- Knowledge of citrus picking techniques and quality standards.
- First Aid/CPR Certificate
Applicants must have a Driver’s licence and their own transport to and from the farm and have unrestricted working rights in Australia.
