AJSteel is a locally owned and operated steel and aluminium supplier and fabrication business servicing the Sunshine Coast and South East Queensland. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Aluminium Welder / Fabricator to join our team.
Working from our dedicated aluminium workshop in Yandina, you will be involved in a wide range of projects, including balustrades, handrails, gates, privacy screens, architectural aluminium fabrication, custom projects and commercial works.

Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate and weld aluminium products to a high standard
- TIG and MIG weld aluminium components
- Read and interpret engineering and workshop drawings
- Assemble and fabricate projects accurately from drawings
- Maintain a safe and tidy work environment
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Ensure all work meets AJSteel's quality standards
Essential Requirements
Trade Qualification in Boilermaking, Fabrication or Engineering
Proven aluminium fabrication and welding experience
Aluminium TIG welding experience
Ability to read and interpret drawings
High attention to detail and pride in workmanship
Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
Highly Regarded
- Experience fabricating aluminium balustrades, gates and screens
- Experience with architectural aluminium fabrication
- Site installation experience
