About the Opportunity

We are seeking a passionate and proactive Leisure & Lifestyle Coordinator to join our Residential Services team in Templestowe. This role plays a vital part in enhancing the wellbeing of our residents by delivering engaging, meaningful and culturally responsive lifestyle programs that promote connection, independence and dignity.

As a Leisure & Lifestyle Coordinator, you will lead and oversee the development, implementation and evaluation of reablement, rehabilitation and psychosocial programs, ensuring activities are person-centred and reflect the individual interests, preferences and capabilities of our residents.

About the role

Develop, implement and continuously improve person-centred activities aligned to residents’ interests, needs and goals.
Implement and promote a monthly calendar of events to ensure residents, families, representatives and staff are informed and engaged.
Conduct lifestyle assessments and ensure care plans reflect individual preferences and outcomes.
Engage residents and families in program planning, feedback and continuous improvement.
Foster a vibrant and inclusive environment that promotes participation, independence and social connection.
Encourage participation from all residents, including those living with dementia or at risk of social isolation.
Coordinate special events, cultural celebrations, birthdays and meaningful community activities.
Support and guide the Leisure & Lifestyle team to deliver high-quality, engaging programs.
Collaborate with clinical and care teams to ensure a holistic, person-centred approach to care delivery.
Maintain accurate documentation of resident participation, preferences and outcomes in line with Aged Care Quality Standards.

About you

Certificate IV in Leisure & Health (Lifestyle & Leisure) or equivalent (essential).
Current First Aid Certificate.
Demonstrated experience in aged care within a Leisure & Lifestyle or similar role.
Strong understanding of person-centred care, wellness and reablement approaches.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build meaningful relationships.
Ability to lead, motivate and support team members.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan, coordinate and evaluate programs.
Experience working with culturally diverse communities.
Greek language skill preferred.
